Fixture

The weather held up and we were welcomed this week by Senghenydd for a morning of mini rugby. Abercarn once again travelled with big numbers arriving with 15 players, Senghenydd only had 7 so we played 3 x 10 minutes to give everybody a run out. Abercarn struck early on with a few successive tries showing great off-loading skills and led at the end of the first third 7-1. A quick change of players from Abercarn and a tough team talk to Senghenydd saw the game take a turn in the second third with Senghenydd making a come-back, going to the interval with the scores level at 9 a-piece. With the boys from the first third back on for Abercarn, the Emerald & Blacks edged in front scoring some skilful tries with some silky running!!! The final score was 13-11 to Abercarn! A great game and thanks to Senghenydd for the warm welcome...

MOM today was awarded to Estyn Evans for his tackling, off-loading and general commitment. Estyn has really tried hard this season in training and this has showed on a Sunday with his consistent performances. Well done Estyn keep it up!!!
