Sunday was a morning of rugby for the lads with a round robin against both Blaenavon & Penallta. With Blaenavon being the hosts they opted to play Abercarn first up. Both sides were impressive, looking to play some flowing rugby with some great interplay and off-loading in the tackle. The scoreline reflected a close encounter with a 2 all draw as the final result after some hard tackling in a tough battle. Abercarn were straight back on to play Penallta who were a very well drilled side with fresh legs, with our boys legs tiring they started to leak a few tries and the final score was 8-1 to Penallta.

There were some good performances today but a deserved MOM was awarded to Rylie Davies for some gutsy tackling – Well Done Rylie!!!
