An early start saw the under 8's travel to Blaenavon for the first time.
Against a well drilled side, we were slow to start conceeding 8 tries in the first half.
Things soon started to turn though with the boys finding their feet and the opponents tags. Several turn overs followed and the tries came soon after. Some excellent offloading in the middle of the park saw us eventually cross for a number of tries in quick succession closing the gap to 12-10 at one stage.
Blaenavon's quick hands were too much for us in the end though with the hosts running out 19-12 winners.
Man of the Match was Ethan Griffiths for his 3 tries and excellent support play.
Looking forward to the return fixture against a good side.
